Siaron provides clinical cleaning services for all diagnostic imaging systems passing through our facility. With a dedicated cleaning station, Siaron can now provide an in-house routine cleaning service which includes pick-up and delivery. 

Our cleaning is performed by using a product called Virkon, which has a unique, synergised oxidising system based on potassium monopersulphate.  Virkon has an unrivalled spectrum of activity - and has been formulated to meet all pathogenic challenges to staff and patients.

The efficacy of Virkon has been proven by multiple worldwide independent testing programs.

Virkon has been developed and manufactured by Antec International, worldwide patents granted.

Virkon has an unparalleled spectrum of activity, proven effective against:
-300 strains/clinical isolates from 76 bacteria
-47 strains/clinical isolates from 35 viruses
-45 strains/clinical isolates from 17 fungi

Virkon is proven effective against all major pathogens known to man, including:
Viruses HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, polio, lassa and rift valley fevers.
Bacteria Staphylococci, Streptococci, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Mycobacteria- (including TB) and all the major food poisoning bacteria. Proven against a wide range of antibiotic-resistant strains.
Fungi Candida and the common skin dermatophytes.

 
Virkon is resistant to inactivation by organic material.
Contains a surfactant - combining cleaning and disinfection in one operation. Avoids the problems of pre-cleaning which spreads infection on cleaning materials and utensils.
